Dance Classes
We offer 3 great dance programs to fit everyone's experience, budget, and commitment levels
Recreational
Recreational classes are non-tryout, non-competition classes open to boys and girls of all ages 18 months - 18 years. These classes teach you the basics of dance and introduce you to several styles of dance. A few of our recreational classes include performance opportunities at our year-end Spring recital. Some recreational classes may require a certain dress code or shoes to participate. Please check with the office before purchasing any items. Additionally, those classes that participate in the recital are also required to pay a small recital fee as well as costumes for the recital. We try to keep these costs as minimal as possible. Dancers are welcome to take one, two, or as many recreational classes they would like. (Classes marked with an * are the classes that have the opportunity to perform.)
Intro to Competition
Intro to competition classes are non-tryout classes, open to boys and girls ages 3 - 18 years old, that allow your dancer to experience competition without the commitment to several classes per week and traveling. Dancers will learn 2 dances, which they will compete with at two local competitions, as well as performing at our year-end Spring recital. Some intro to competition classes may require a certain dress code or shoes to participate. Please check with the office before purchasing any items. Additionally, intro to competition classes are required to pay a small recital fee as well as purchase costumes for competition. We try to keep these costs as minimal as possible. Dancers who take the intro to competition classes may also add other intro to competition classes as well as any recreational classes. Class schedules can be customized to fit your wants.
Pre-professional
Pre-professional classes, open to boys and girls ages 6 - 18 years old, are tryout only classes that are designed for the more dedicated dancer who is looking to progress and master several different styles of dance and prepare for a possible career in the dance/entertainment industry. These classes, depending on which level of team you are accepted on, you are required to take several different classes that aid in their progression. Our pre-professional classes will compete at 4 - 6 competitions around Utah and does require some travel, although many of our competitions are fairly local. They will also perform at our year-end spring recital. Dancers will be required to purchase travel gear and bags. Some classes the pre-professional classes are required to take may require a certain dress code or shoes to participate. Please check with the office before purchasing any items. Additionally, pre-professional classes are required to pay a small recital fee as well as purchase costumes for competitions, pay any travel costs, attend any extra master class or convention, and pay their competition fees that allow them to participate at competitions. These classes teach the dancers respect, hard work, team work, responsibility, punctuality, how to win graciously and how to lose with pride. While we push these dancers to be their best, our focus is NOT on the win but on the journey and growth that takes place on the way to the win.
